unlimited Castings
My best known work is wall sculpture, in the tradition of architectural ornament, intended for unlimited reproduction. Years ago, I cast and finished all these sculptures myself. The three pieces above are examples of original finishes. All three designs are now manufactured and sold by both Sacred Source and Design Toscano. (Photographs of the three sculptures above and many others are available as prints from my Zazzle store.) In the case of each of those companies, I send them the prototype model, and their craftsmen make their own moulds and cast the pieces in lightweight, durable materials for which my home studio is not equipped. The companies also both do all their own catalog and online sales and shipping, and I simply receive a small percentage of the sales price in royalties. I am grateful for the trade-off because it allows me more time and space in my studio to make new things. The two companies’Äô colors and finishes for these pieces vary from these photos and from each other. Both companies may be approached by retail business owners who would like to discuss wholesale ordering. Sacred Source, a highly altruistic Fair Trade company, also produces several other sculptures of mine. From time to time, I may also offer early, hydrocal castings of these pieces that I made before they were liscenced to others. They are signed on the back, and many are numbered (though I’Äôve always been careful to be clear that they were not limited editions.)
